Palmore of Portland

Written by: Anita Moffett (AKA Aniyah)

Portland, Oregon, home to craft breweries, distilleries, art museums by the dozen, and its commitment to conserving nature through its green-energy initiatives, hence the lavish park landscapes!

So, what else does Portland have to offer? Yours truly, the impenetrable and persistent Ramone Palmore! Yes, nature lovers, you have more to treasure about Portland thanks to Palmore!

The multi-talented Portland native has brought flair to the city due to his stage and film acting and producing repertoire. His acting credits include A Streetcar Named Desire, performed at the SecondStory Repertory theatre with Director Jane Ryan, commercial work, and Ramone has also appeared in Grimm, and The Librarians.

Since acting was not enough to quench Ramone’s thirst, he not only played John Pearson in the Independent short Film Saving District, but he also produced the project!

In 2017, in a concerted effort, brothers Ramone and Rodrigues (Rod) Palmore blessed Portland with the creation of Global Millennium Pictures, an all-American film company, with a focus on international film production. So far the production company has exhibited films such as The Broadway Boys: with a back drop of the cold War and the Civil Rights Movement in the United States, The Landless: which is centered on a young woman struggling to navigate her way in the streets for survival while shielding her six year old son from the reality of their situation, and Saving District, a film that sheds light on the horrific pandemic of school shootings.

These film projects run dear to the Palmore brothers. Ramone is particularly proud of the momentum in place. He and his team of experts: Saleh Alzughaibi- Director and Cinematographer, Jill Schnitter- Head of Set and Production, and Hakym Reagan- Head of Africa Productions all bring forth skill and expertise that is sure to ignite more creative film production and features that will have not only Portland natives sitting on the edge of their seats, but global viewers as well!
